4. Google API Data
Yomi.host integrates with Google APIs (Gmail and Google Calendar) to help you manage contacts and relationships. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4a. Data Accessed
When you connect your Google account, Yomi.host may access the following data, limited to the scopes you authorize:
- Gmail: Email message content (subject, body, sender, recipients, and timestamps) for threads involving your contacts, in order to log interactions and surface relationship insights. We also access the ability to send emails on your behalf when you compose and send a message through the platform.
- Google Calendar: Calendar event titles, dates, times, attendees, and descriptions, in read-only mode, to log meetings with your contacts and surface scheduling context.
- Basic profile: Your Google account email address, used solely to authenticate your identity and link your Google connection to your Yomi.host account.
4b. Data Usage
Google user data is used exclusively for the following purposes within the Yomi.host platform:
- Importing email threads and calendar events as interaction records linked to your contacts.
- Generating AI-powered relationship summaries, follow-up suggestions, and communication insights displayed only to you.
- Sending emails on your behalf when you explicitly compose and submit a message through the platform.
- Detecting meeting outcomes to prompt you to log notes after a call or meeting.
Google user data is never used for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose unrelated to providing the features described above. We do not use Gmail data to build or train generalized AI/ML models.
4c. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your Google user data. Google user data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- AI/LLM providers: Email or calendar content may be sent to large language model providers (e.g., OpenAI) solely to generate summaries and suggestions displayed to you. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any other purpose.
- Cloud infrastructure: Data is stored and processed on secure cloud hosting providers. These providers act as data processors under strict confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
No Google user data is shared with any third party for advertising, marketing, or data-brokering purposes.
4d. Data Storage & Protection
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
- Data is stored in access-controlled cloud databases with encryption at rest.
- OAuth tokens are stored securely server-side and are never exposed to the browser or third parties.
- Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only, on a need-to-know basis.
- We perform regular security reviews and follow industry best practices for data protection.
4e. Data Retention & Deletion
- Imported Gmail and Calendar data (interaction records, notes) is retained for as long as your account is active.
- OAuth access tokens are refreshed as needed and invalidated immediately upon disconnection.
- You may revoke Yomi.host's access to your Google account at any time via your Google Account Permissions page. Revoking access stops all future data syncing immediately.
- To request deletion of all your data — including any imported Google data — contact us at privacy@yomi.host. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Upon account deletion, all associated data (contacts, interaction records, imported emails and calendar events) is permanently removed from our systems.
5. Data Sharing (General)
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers: Trusted third parties that help us operate the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, AI providers), bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting privacy@yomi.host. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.

- Revoke Google integrations (Gmail, Google Calendar) at any time via your Google Account Permissions page or within the platform settings.
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
